Elizabeth Lindquist for Township Trustee

My husband, Rick, and I have called Roscoe home for 22 years. We raised our family here, and both of our daughters are Hononegah graduates. I’ve been a pharmacist for 33 years and specialize in caring for patients with cancer.
In 2017, I was elected Township Trustee, and am grateful for the opportunity to serve our community. I’m proud of the work we’ve done developing Founders Park. I'm especially proud that we secured $1,041,300 in state grants, writing the grant applications ourselves, saving taxpayers thousands and minimizing the financial risk.
To get an even higher return on our investment, I joined with community members to found the Roscoe Township Historical Society, which is privately funding the restoration of the historic home on the property. I helped to get the RTHS $45,000 in grants and more in volunteer labor. The restoration of the home is progressing well and is a critically important aspect of the history themed park.
The Founders Park Community Center is beautiful, but without activities it’s an empty building. I worked hard to develop low or no-cost programming, and currently we have a variety of activities available to our residents.
Total Roscoe Township spending accounts for only 3% of your property tax bill - but it’s the 3% I can do something about - and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m happy to share that we've lowered the rate on your property tax bill every year, have accumulated no debt, and have a safe level of reserve.
Help me continue this work. Please vote for me and all the Roscoe Independents on April 1st!
